Detail Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Yangon

Arrive Yangon by morning flight. Your English speaking guide will meet you at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Then, drive to down town Yangon , passing by famous Rangoon University (1920) & Royal Lake where we can admire the view of the Karaweik Hall overlooking this scenic lake. Check –in at the hotel. Then, the tour leads to Sule Pagoda with its golden chedi, which makes a useful landmark in downtown Yangon. Yangon is filled with impressive colonial style government buildings such as the City Hall, General Telegraph Office, the Supreme Court, High Court and many pastel- painted shops and apartments. Later stop at Bogyoke market, , formally known as Scott Market, a sprawling 75 year old shopping complex noted for its variety of handicrafts and other items which provide an excellent opportunity for a shopping spree. Afterwards, Enjoy the sunset at Shwedagon Pagoda, famous world wide - its golden stupa is the 'heart' of Buddhist Myanmar., The Pagoda is believed to be 2,500 years old and the central stupa in surrounded by dozens of intricately decorated buildings and statues. There are always many Myanmar people praying and making offerings at Shwedagon, and it's a fascinating place to spend time watching the world go by. Walk the nearby markets after sunset and enjoy the intense sights and sounds of Myanmar. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.

Day 2: Yangon – Bagan (Breakfast)

Early breakfast at the hotel ( possible to get bread, coffee & juice). Guided transfer to Yangon airport domestic terminal. Yangon – Bagan (Nyaung Oo) by morning flight. Arrive to Bagan. Your English station guide from Bagan will pick you up from Bagan airport. Sightseeing in Bagan: Nyaung Oo Market; a village market where you can find from wet market of fish and meat to house hold things like rattan baskets, cotton wear and antiques. Visit the golden Shwezigon Pagoda; prototype golden stupa, Gubyaukgyi Temple; small temple famous for it's frescoe paintings of 12th century and check-in to your hotel. Afternoon visit , Ananda Temple; the most beautiful temple with 4 standing Buddhas in four cardinal points, history or lord Buddha and outside of the temple is decorated withTerra-Cotta worriers in green glaze plaques . Visit Lacquerware home industry and stroll around the viallage of Myinkaba, visit Manuha Temple; the temple of captive king of Tha-ton, Dhammayangyi Pahto and climb up to one of the Temples (or) Pagodas for remarkable sunset and panoramic view of the city. Overnight at hotel in Bagan.

Day 3: Bagan (Breakfast)

After breakfast drive 15 about minutes away from Nyaung Oo. You will reach road side temporary huts of home industries. People living there work for plantation of ground nut/sesame /maize etc. They collect Palm juice from Toddy Palm tree and make toddy palm sugar. They do farming of Ground nut and extract peanut oil by using traditional method by using wooden grinder. You can also taste fermented Toddy juice and watch processing from Toddy palm juice to local liquor. Return to Bagan and visit Minnanthu village and other local villages to see daily life style of Bagan people. Afternoon is free for your own exploration. Suggestion: Early morning balloon ride over Bagan ( Advise us in advance. Balloon ride at supplement cost ) Afternoon, wonder around by e-bike or mountain bike available at the hotel at direct payment. Overnight at hotel in Bagan.

Day 4: Bagan – Heho – Pindaya - Kalaw (Breakfast)

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to airport. Nyaung Oo( Bagan) - Heho by flight. Transfer from Heho airport to Pindaya, an interesting drive up into the hills and across the Shan Plateau, through fields of mountain rice. Lunch at Local Restaurant, specialized in “Danu” food (on your own expense). Visit magnificent Pindaya Caves, set in a limestone ridge overlooking a picturesque lake, where thousands of different types of Buddha images are on display in the various cave chambers. Visit some local houses where families produce Shan paper and parasols. Afternoon, transfer to Kalaw (1 ½ hrs drive). Evening free at leisure. Overnight at hotel in Kalaw.

Day 5: Trekking : Kalaw – Pettu Pauk Village (Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner) (Soft trekking)

After breakfast, transfer by car to trekking point. Today is a trekking day from Lamine village to Kon Hla village and take a break for Lunch. Walk thru Danu /Pa Oo villages, fields of plantations , to Petu pauk village. Freshly cooked simple meals and overnight home stay at Petu Pauk village. (Total walking time about 6 hours )(we will provide simple bedding like pillow, blanket, thin mattress, mosquito net etc.)

Day 6: Trekking : Pato Pauk Village – Indein Village – Inle Lake (Breakfast-Lunch)

After breakfast, leave and start your trekking Pato Pauk village to visit its old monastery. Continue your trek after 30 minutes, proceed to Htee Tein village. ( about 4hrs trek ) Continue trekking about 1 hour from Htee Tein village, you will proceed to Nam Yoke village and you are on the trek of road to Inlay. On the way we can see panoramic Inlay view at top of the hill. Afternoon you will arrive to Indein village. Lunch at local Intha restaurant. Visit Indein Pagoda Complex ( 1050 stupas and temples of 18th Century ) built by Pa-O minority. Transfer to your hotel by boat. Overnight at hotel in Inle Lake.

Day 7: Inle Lake (Breakfast)

Breakfast at hotel and board on a traditional long and tall motorized boat for a sightseeing tour of the lake. Traveling on the lake is an exhilarating experience for nature lovers and a chance to observe the unique traditions of the Intha people. Wonder unique leg rowing fishermen, floating firms , houses and monasteries on the stilt etc. Visit floating village of Ywama, the lake's downtown and largest village on the Inlay Lake, 11 century Phaungdaw Oo pagoda housing five sacred Buddha Images and the weaving village of Inpawkhon, famous for traditional silk-weaving, Se Gaung Village, famous for the blacksmith work and Nan Pan Village with cheroot making and boat-building dockyards etc and end your day with a visit famous Ngaphechaung, a museum like monastery where old belongings of many monasteries are restored. Overnight at hotel in Inle Lake.

Day 8: Inle Lake – Heho – Mandalay (Breakfast)

Breakfast at hotel. We do not have morning flight from Heho to Mandalay in Green season. Therefore, you are free in the morning at your hotel. Late morning, guided transfer to Heho airport. Heho – Mandalay by late morning or afternoon flight. Arrive to Mandalay airport. Our English Speaking guide in Mandalay will meet and greet at airport. Direct sightseeing in Mandalay : Visit to Mahamuni Image; a place of Intense devotion to pilgrims from all over the world, the Golden Palace Monastery, Kuthodaw Pagoda; the world's largest book and sunset from Mandalay Hill with the view of dotted pagodas and Ayeyarwaddy River. Finally, check-in to your hotel. Overnight a hotel in Mandalay.

Day 9: Mingun (S.I.C Boat ) & Ava & Amarapura (Breakfast)

After breakfast, proceed to Mayan Chan jetty and board on a local wooden boat for Mingun across Ayeyarwady river <11 km, approx 1 hour>. The boat trip is interesting because you see all types of wooden boats and bamboo rafts, carrying goods up and down the river. Observe the world's largest ringing bell casted by Bodawpaya in 1800 weighing 55555 viss which calculated equal to 90 tons and Mingun Pahtodawgyi, an enormous pile of bricks is all that remain of King Bodawpaya ambition to make it the world's largest Buddhist stupa. After a visit of beautiful Mya Thein Tan Pagoda return to Mandalay. Afternoon drive to Ava. Ava is located on an island which can be reached by local ferry, crossing the Myitnge River. Pass through the ancient city walls by horse cart and see the remains of the ancient city: the brick and stucco monastery "Maha Aungmye Bonzan", the renovated Nanmyin Watch Tower and the impressive wooden monastery of Bagaya Kyaung constructed with 267 teak pillars. The abbot of Bagaya Kyaung monastery used one part of the property as monastic school for children far and near. Then visit another ancient capital- Amarapura. It is known for its MahaGandayon Buddhist Monastery, good to observe the life style of thousands of Buddhist monks and then sunset from U-Bein wooden bridge constructed across the TaungThaMann Lake. Return to Mandalay. Overnight a hotel in Mandalay.

Day 10: Departure Mandalay

Breakfast at the hotel. Guided transfer to Mandalay International airport for out bound flight.
