SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT ON ISSUANCE OF VISA ON ARRIVAL
Effective from 01 May 2010, the new system to practice "Visa On Arrival" is announced from Immigration and National Registration Department, Ministry of Immigration and Population.
The announcement contains followings:-
- "Visa on Arrival" system is valid for all nationalities who hold an ordinary passport officially issued from the country.
- Validity of Passport is required at least 6 months from date of arrival and "Visa On Arrival" can be obtained at Yangon and Mandalay International Airports.
- Tourist Visa fee is USD 30.- per person, valid for 28days, non-extendable.
- Business Visa fee is USD 40.- per person, valid for 71 days, extendable.
- Social visit Visa fee is USD 40.- per person, valid for 28days, extendable.
- Transit Visa fee is USD 18.- per person, valid for 24hrs.
- Return ticket is required for all passengers.
- Accommodation must be at a licensed hotels, motels and Inns. Name and Address of the place must be written in the form.
- Accommodation is arranged at residence of family, relatives, factory, office , etc, name and address of the place must be written in the form.
- Need to bring 2 photos ( 4 x 6 cm ) taken within 6 months of travel date.
- Applicant must abide with the law of the Union of Myanmar including Immigration law.
- Visa fee is free for child under 7 years accompanied with parent passport. It applies the same for a child under 7 years holding own passport.
- Cash amount of USD 300.- (or equivalent of other currency )for individual traveler and USD 600.- (or equivalent of other currency) for a family, is required to bring and to show when requested by immigration officer.
- Applicant agrees to follow and visit according to the conditions mentioned on visa form.
- Passengers coming with Visa On Arrival are not allowed to visit restricted areas. Enquiry is to be made and if needed, permission is to be arranged well in advance before entering.
- Form for "Visa On Arrival" can be obtained at airlines or on-line.
- If a person is included in black list of immigration department, visa will be rejected and will be deported on same arrival flight.
